| Day 1 - Departure on Malaysia Airlies. |
| Day 2- Arrival in Kota Kinabalu, your gateway to Borneo. |
| Day 3- Early morning flight from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan. Boat to Selingan ("Turtle Island"). Relax on beach. This evening watch and assist with egg hatching.BLD |
| Day 4 -Early morning boat to Sandakan. Visit world famous Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary. Overland to Sukau with afternoon boat cruise in search of Proboscis monkey. BLD |
| Day 5 -Early morning cruise up the misty Kinabatangan River to Kelananap oxbow lake. Jungle walk in search of
wildlife. Afternoon cruise in search of Orang Utans.BLD |
| Day 6 -Early morning overland journey to the town of Lahad Datu. Brief orientation at Borneo Rainforest Office
before beginning a rough 2-hour drive through Danum Valley. Afternoon nature walk with guide through rainforest. Night drive in search of nocturnal jungle wildlife.BLD |
| Day 7 -Early morning walk on the nature trail, suspension bridge and observation platform with experienced
guide. You have your choice of jungle treks with guides, "tubing in the river, or simply enjoying the lodge.
After dinner, depart for night safaris. BLD |
| Day 8 -Early morning guided walk, on the "Coffin Trail", that leads to an ancient burial site and magnificent
lookout point. Depart for the drive back to Lahad Datu and afternoon flight to K.K. Transfer to your hotel.BL |
| Day 9 -Coral Island Tour in Kota Kinabalu. From hotel, transfer 20 minutes by boat to Sapi Island for a day of relaxation and explore jungle trails on your own. Snorkel in crystal clear water among coral reefs and rainbow-coloured fishes before return. Snorkelling gear available for hire.BL |
| Day 10 -Morning flight to Kuching. Overview city tour and visit Sarawak Cultural Village, potraying and conserves the unique myriad of various cultural and customs of Borneo. Dinner at a local home with a Sarawakian family.BLD |
| Day 11 - Travel overland to Batang Ai, passing through scenic countryside consisting of quaint little towns, villages, padi fields, pepper and oil palm plantations interspersed with secondary and virgin jungle as the road starts to wind and undulate as you go deeper into the interior. Arrive at the Hydro lake at Lubok Antu. Board a shuttle ferry to resort. Dinner and overnight.BLD |
| Day 12 -Aftere breakfast, depart for Sepaya Longhouse .The journey will take you across the lake into the Engkari River, one of the many tributaries flowing into the lake. Longhouse is constructed of tropical timber, this 2 units of longhouses has approximately 50 units of family rooms each. The natives here still spin cotton, weave the pua (traditional cloth), and create intricate carvings from bamboo and wood. Enjoy a short cultural performance by the inhabitant of the longhouse followed later on by a blow pipe demonstration. Lunch will be provided and if weather permits we will go for a short jungle walk around the vicinity of the longhouse. Later on in the afternoon return back.BLD. |
| Day 13 -After breakfast depart for Kuching via the same route as your arrival. Stop for lunch before continuing your journey to Kuching and proceed on to Matang Wildlife Center for a visit. Dinner at a Seafood Restaurant BLD |
| Day 14 -Visit Bako National Park.This small peninsula is home to seven distinct rainforest ecosystems, giving it a remarkable diversity of animal and plant life. Bako’s most famous residents are the bizarre proboscis monkeys, and it is also home to silvered langurs (leaf monkeys), long-tailed macaque monkeys, wild boar, flying squirrels and monitor lizards as well as hundreds of different bird species. Fascinating plant life includes mangroves, strangling figs, carnivorous pitcher plants and symbiotic ant plants. Unique geological features mark the coastline, including the famous Sea Stack, whilst well-marked trails lead to rugged jungle-covered hilltops and secluded beaches.BL |
